Welcoming customers by determining their coffee interests and needs. Educates customers by presenting and explaining the product details such as coffee blend and preparation descriptions
Providing quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards. Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products
Taking customer orders and convey them to other employees for preparation. Receive and process customer payments including cash
Serving prepared foods, such as bakeries. Wrap, label, or date food items for sale.
Setting up or restock product displays
Assists with new partner training by positively reinforcing successful performance and giving respectful and encouraging coaching as needed
Contribute to positive team environment by recognizing alarms or changes in partner morale and performance and communicating them to the manager.
Keeping equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
Check temperatures of freezers, refrigerators, or heating equipment to ensure proper functioning.
Clean or sanitize work areas, utensils, or equipment and take out garbage
Clean service or seating areas, stock customer service stations with paper products or beverage preparation items
Assist in order, receive, or stock supplies or retail products
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and training session
Other job-related duty as assigned, such as create signs to advertise store products or events
Enthusiastic to grow with the company and ability to work well positively as a team is always the priority
Barista or other experience in related position is required. And basic coffee equipment knowledge is preferred
Available to perform many different tasks within the store during each shift
Maintains regular and punctual attendance. Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidays
Superb customer service skills with ability to give and receive constructive feedback in any given situation
Ability to maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to standard and to set a positive example for the shift team
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
Basic computer and work-related software skills, such as POS system
Ability to learn quickly
